Rising Above Ministries, Slave Lake is a Christian organization committed to walking with individuals toward healing, hope, and a new beginning. Through our six-month residential program, we offer a safe, supportive environment grounded in the H.E.L.P.S. model: Housing, Employment Training, Life Skills, Personal Development, and Spiritual Formation—all aimed at building self-sufficiency and lasting transformation.

Our team is made up of people with lived experience—parents, siblings, spouses, and friends—united by a passion to see others walk in freedom through the power of Christ. We care deeply because many of us have been there ourselves.

We respect the essential work of healthcare providers and addiction services in our community. Rising Above exists to complement, not compete with, these efforts—offering a faith-based option for recovery.

While rooted in Christian values, our program is open to all, with no requirement to adopt a particular faith. Participation is voluntary, and everyone is welcome.
